RF Production Technician/Assembler 

Overview 

Tecore’s RF Production Technician/Assembler will be playing a key role in Tecore’s production process. You will be responsible for testing Tecore products to ensure that they are working exactly as intended and are compliant before they are marketed and sold to our customers. You will also be responsible for factory inventory and maintaining factory equipment.

Responsibilities 

  • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and drawings, blueprint specifications, product schematics and parts lists; gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Build products or assemblies: perform equipment setup, operation, equipment adjustments and minor preventative maintenance tasks to meet all standards for safety, quality and efficiency.
  • Run tests on all assemblies and equipment to test for safety and productivity before they are put into the field according to quality standards.
  • Identify problems and suggest improvements; identify potential solutions and attempt to troubleshoot the issue using technical knowledge. Complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
  • Inspect and test finished products; maintain quality standards to ensure products conform to specifications and codes, before full-scale production begins, and periodically thereafter.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards and customer needs.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
  • Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Assist engineers in developing and testing products.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.

About You 

  • Associates degree in Engineering or equivalent/related field.
  • Excellent motor skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to read and carefully follow instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team or by oneself.
  • Capable of working independently on a production schedule.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively across diverse activities.
  • Quality focus, judgment and decision making.
  • Proficient with mechanical inspection tools, hand held power tools, controls, instrumentation, and surface mount soldering and board assembly.
  • Experience in a start-up or pilot production environment.
  • Experience with top level cable and component assembly in enclosure or cabinet production.
  • Experience in building DC cable assemblies with connectors, crimp and solder pins.
  • Ability to build small RF cables is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor digital and RF assemblies is a plus.
  • 1-2 years mechanical assembly and manufacturing experience may be required.
  • Specific technical or vocational training or certification may be required.
  • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Occasionally lift 30-50 pounds.
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
  • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is highly beneficial.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience maintaining wireless/cellular communications equipment.

Work Environment

  • Hands on position; position may be driving a vehicle, or using other modes of transportation.
  • Work will be performed will be a performed in production facility.
  • Ability to have flexible work schedule and adapt to the occasional special work schedule.
  • Must continue to possess a Valid Driver’s License and pass random driver’s license screenings.
  • Must be able to pass a physical.
  • Conscientious regarding the safety of him/herself at times as well as the safety of every other crew member or individual on the job site.
