Military Secured Rapid Deployment System Extends the Government Network to the Mobile Environment

Columbia, Md. – Tecore Networks, a leading provider of GSM, CDMA, 3G and multi-protocol mobile networks, today announced that its Military Secured Rapid Deployment System (MilSec-RDS) has participated in and met the requirements of the annual Department of Defense Interoperability Communications Exercise (DICE).

MilSec-RDS is a compact, software-defined network fully compliant with major wireless standards such as GSM, CDMA and 3G, fortified with features to satisfy military requirements. The system enables Type 1-4 encrypted calls, as well as Multi-Level Precedence and Preemption (MLPP), which extends the prioritization capabilities of a government private network to the wireless segment. MilSec-RDS supports standalone and centralized operations. Additionally, multiple units can mesh together in the field to dynamically form a multi-site secured communications infrastructure. MilSec-RDS further includes:

• a complete core network: MSC/VLR; HLR/HSS; AuC/AC; SMSC/MMSC; with optional packet data
• high-capacity mini base station and amplifier
• interfaces for a wide range of external connectivity: PSTN; IP; satellite; and LMR
• a ruggedized, man-portable case which facilitates deployment in under one hour.
